Women Needs Help/Advice ASAP!!

Maybe someone in this forum can help me... I am 21 years old, and I have never had regular periods. I have one every thrre or four months or so. It has been like this since I was 15. I had a baby 9 months ago, and my periods are still being irregular, but it never really bothered me much. My doctor put me on birth control pills a month ago to try to regulate my period. I started bleeding heavy and having blood clots four days after i started taking the pill. I bled for three weeks, so i called the doctor and he brought me in. He told me that he thought my walls of my uterus were thick and that he needed to perform a hysteroscopy with a D & C on me, and that would stop the bleeding immediately. I went through the procedure on wednesday of last week and my bleeding was stopping the next morning. All of the sudden that night blood started flowing really heavy again. I started getting sick on Friday, so I called the doctor. I was still on the pill, but he asked me to come in for an emergency visit. He looked at me and said I was bleeding more than I should be and that my blood tests showed I was too low on iron and i needed to take supplements. He also switched my pill to a pill that is 2x stronger than the pill i was on before and said that my bleeding would be stopped by Monday. Well, today is Monday and I am still bleeding heavy and there is no sign of it slowing down any time soon. That makes this bleeding to be going on for almost a month!! I am starting to quesiton if my doctor really knows what he is doing. I am supposed to go back next week and he said he would stop the pill for a week and allow me to have a regular period! Why? I have been bleeding for a month! I don't know if he knows what he is talking about and i am considering taking myself completely off the birth control. I was much happier off the pill because i didnt bleed so much! Any advice?? I dont know what to do at this point. Thanks for reading!

First of all, I congratulate that you have a child. Many people suffer due to infertility on that condition. Delayed menstruation is due to coldness in body or Qi deficiency (meaning weak energy). Without diagnosing you such as color, any kind of pain before, during or after periods and other examinations, it is difficult to give you proper advice to you. You might have cold hands before taking birth control pills based on irregular periods since 15. After taking pills, you experienced blood clots. This might be ok for you. The problem is continued heavy flow. I guess pills may change your body warm, especially inner uterus.

Birth control pills may be very harmful to most women in my opinion. I don't know how they work, but whatever against nature will be eventually not good for woman body. Eggs supposed to be moved toward fallopian tubes every month are accumulated in the fixed place like ovary. These may turn to tumor or even cancer. I don't know any study made for this purpose. Of course this short period should not be concerned for tumor. Anything supposed to be moved must be moved properly, if not it will cause problems in the future.

what would cause a swollen prostate at my age?

When liver organ contracts, testicle becomes swollen sometimes. Prostate itself is nothing got to do with liver. Don't diagnose by yourself unless you are a professional.

Normal person depends on different foods. Juices take a short time and meat longer time. Most foods stay 3-4 hours in stomach for digestion except alcohol which is absorbed in the stomach.

Here is the problem. Some have cold, normal or hot stomach. Some could argue all stomach temperature is same, but it is not true. Another example is that someone who has headache might notice head is warm or hot. If stomach is cold or gastroptosis, food staying is longer. If stomach is hot, digestion is faster and food staying is shorter, making hungry easily.

Let's assume someone eat too much. We acupuncturists make stomach temperature cooler. Food will stay longer making less hungry. Western approaches are to operate stomach which means gastrectomy. Which one is more economical, a few acupuncture treatments or gastrectomy? We also try to find what make stomach warm or hot and eliminate that cause. Which one makes more sense to you?

The person that posted that it can cure cataracts won't answer.
Anyone know how this so called cure works?

I feel I am obligated to answer this question. I didn't have a patient to come to cure for just cataracts so far. However I had a patient who was 87(?) years old. Her left eye was covered 100% by white and cloudy and right eye was about 80%. Her eyes dripped lots of tears. She continued to wipe tears with tissue. Her main issue was unable to walk. She was aided to treatment table, as she couldn't walk. She was treated to strengthen tendon, not for her eye. I noticed her right eye's white was removed partially and remained by 60% after treatment while she was on the table. According to acupuncture theory, tendon and eyes are governed by liver. She walked out without my help after treatment. I experienced many times I didn't treat some specific issue, but also patients reported they become well not only main issue, but also other issues. She never came back after the treatment, so I can't say definitely that yes, acupuncture can cure cataracts. But it is possible according to my experience. I looked some text books for this question. The book says yes. One interesting thing is that one of the points for cataract in the text book is the same spot doctor use for injection for anesthesia.

pregnacy makes change color.....

I am pregnant and my nipples and vagina lips are turning from a light pink to brown is this normal?

It is natural. It is one of old ways to tell whether woman has been pregnant or not and also virgin or not. Once the color is changed, it won't change back to light pink again. Of course, stopping period is No.1 symptom for pregnancy.

genital area problem

I noticed many questions around genital area. Some are sure that problems are nothing got to do with sexual disease. Many experience itchiness, red spot, swelling sometimes, slight dull or sharp pain etc. around genital area without any special reasons. Fungus is bothersome to women more than men. This issue could be related directly with genitalia. This issue is difficult to discuss and show to strangers, even to doctors.

When women clean after urination or stool, the direction for cleaning must be from front to back. This will prevent any bacteria or germs' infection on genital area, especially urethral and vaginal orifice.  It is important to change sanitary napkin often during periods.

Even though everything was done right, it could happen to any person. The cause is some kind of blockage around genital area. There are two useful acupressure points. These will help minor and acute problems.

1.     on the dorsum of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, approximately in the middle of the 2nd  metacarpal bone on the radial side

2.     directly below nipple, in the sixth intercostals space

Press this point with thumb. Acupressure is less effective than acupuncture itself as acupressure could not reach deep and only 2 points can be used simultaneously.  This information doesn't help for VD. Person involved with VD must see MD and tell sex partner(s) not to spread further.

Gag / vomiting issue

I have been having an issue with gagging and vomiting for around 2 months now. Around 10-15 minutes after eating, I get a gaggy feeling. Sometimes I vomit, but many times I am able to avoid it. I don't have an upset stomach when this happens. My abdomen does get sensitive to touch when I am feeling this way. That is about the only other symptom that I have. It is generally much worse in the morning and is less likely to occur as the day progresses. The only thing that I have found that helps consistently is ginger. I took Nexium for 20 days straight and that made no change. I have been to the Dr and had bloodwork done, HIV/STD testing, a CT scan, an endoscopy, a stomach emptying study and gall blader testing. The endoscopy shows that I have gastritis, but all of the other testing has been normal. If anyone has any suggestions that would help me to narrow down the cause, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I have a very fast metabolism and have lost 25 lbs in the 2 months that this has been happening.

THANK YOU in advance for any help!!!!

Ginger is extremely effective in redirecting rebellious stomach qi downward and is the imperial antiemetic to treat all patterns of vomiting according to our text book. You choose the right one. I suggest continuing to eat ginger.

I watch two sentences.

1. My abdomen does get sensitive to touch.

2. I have a very fast metabolism and have lost 25 lbs in the 2 months that this has been happening.

According to these statements I suspect you have some kinds of excessive heat in stomach. Heat might be from gastritis. I can't diagnose you personally and make a conclusion. Some are contradictory to each other. Vomiting may prohibit in eating, but fast metabolism etc. Fast metabolism might be related with thyroid.

Are you male or female? How old? Do you prefer to drink cold, warm or room temperature water? Do you have a pain if you try to push abdominal area? Do you want to drink more water these days?
More about me. 2009-05-13 05:14:20 Thank you for the information. I am male, 38. I prefer cold water. The sensitivity in my abdomen is only when there is pressure applied. Even when I feel like I am going to gag, my stomach is ok if no pressure is applied. I have about the same appetite for water now as I did before this started. Ever since I was a little kid, I've had a very fast metabolism. About 4 years ago I started lifting weights and eating more. Very gradually, I went from 155 lbs to 210 lbs. Right now I am around 185. I have thought about checking out acupuncture since my Dr has not been able to find anything wrong with me. I'm not sure how to go about finding someone good.

You might have some heat in your abdominal area. Cold drinks are preferred due to heat. This heat causes fast metabolism. In my opinion it may be a beginning of diabetes. Medical tests would not show any abnormality or in board line many times.

One of old books I have describes that this can be cured. This book suggests some herbs prescribed by herbologist. Some Korean acupuncturists may know about this. I applied this to many patients and have been successful most of times. I personally mail this herb to patients who live out of states.

Reducing weight is very necessary for your case. Exercise is very important. Long and fast walking everyday is highly recommended. Try to find acupuncturists who are specialized in Korean four needle technique

Exercise and aging

Did you find that Arnold ever looked younger for his age?

What about professional athletes?

Mike Tyson, Kobe Bryant or David Beckham don't look younger than their ages.

No, they look just as old as they are.

So this exercise hype is partly just that, hype.

Exercise is really good for our body, health and longevity. I believe your observation is right. Professional athletes do exercise a lot, but their average life is not longer than normal people. Why?

When I was in the army, our trainers said that a drop of sweat during training would be worth a drop of blood in the real war. I don't know this kind of expression came from American camp or Korean camp. I am a Korean. This might be a metaphor, but it can be used in a real sense.

Do you see any person who tears a lot without a sad story and wipe out tears always? This person suffers with liver according to Traditional Chinese medicine. Do you see any person who sweats a lot during meals? Especially with spicy food? This means a suffering in heart yin. Sorry for difficult terminology.

Excessive exercise cause sweating. A little sweating may be good which means enough blood circulation in the body. In my opinion obesity person needs 10-15 minutes in more exercise after sweating to eliminate unnecessary by product accumulated in the body. I personally stop exercising less than 5 minutes of sweating. Any excessive is not good, either exercising or whatever it is. Moderate is the best.   Excessive exercise means excessive sweating. Excessive sweating means lots of blood loss causing heart weakness.

Curing a Heart Attack!

If someone has a heart attack, even if they die, get a cup of hot water and a tsp of cayenne pepper and pour it down. or just a cayenne extract. its wokred many times before. please dont forget this if something is to happen to someone. thank you and have a great day!

God Bless all of you:)

The first thing to do for a heart attack is to make a better blood circulation. It is matter of time to save person's life. Use Lencets and bleed out tips of each fingers and toes. These are the farthest parts of the body where artery and vein meets. We acupuncturists use 12 spots instead of 10 spots. Still 10 spots work very well. This will save a life. Call 911. CPR is the next choice for me while you wait an ambulance.

I personally believe salt is better than anything else. You might disagree with me. You heard to reduce salt amount in your food so many times.

Doctors prescribe calcium blockers to treat heart condition. Why? To prevent heart hardened,

What does salt do? Make soften. Salt what I am talking about is totally different salt most people use, like table salt. I never carry table salt in my home. It is a poison for me.

Cayenne pepper may work to help lung in the beginning, eventually help heart indirectly.

over a month. He has a history of bronchial trouble and has had pneumonia in the past.

His doctor just keeps telling him it's a 'bad cold' and gives him antibiotics. He said the last chest xray was 'clear' (It was taken over a year ago)

So he came home from this doctor again last week with a prescription for yet another antibiotic - still can't sleep at all due to the constant hacking and looks like hell.

What is this doctor missing?

Thanks for reading

My father who is 87 had a chronic and unremitting cough with wheezing and short of breath and nose bleeding over two months. He refused to go to see the doctor. Simply put he hates to go to hospitals. My mom asked me to come and help him. His tongue was red. His pulse was rapid. This means heat in the body, especially in the lung. I treated him with acupuncture treatments. His coughing reduced from every 5 minutes to once in two hours and no improvements further. Once cough started, it lasted a few minutes with wheezing. I made herb formula to strengthen lung qi and yin and remove heat in the lung. Chronic coughing exhausts both qi and yin of the lung according to traditional Chinese medicine theory. Wow, what a result. I was surprised by myself. My father told me he felt a relief with a first herb drink. No more cough since then. This happened 4 days ago. Try acupuncture first. If it doesn't work like my father, then ask herb. Some acupuncturists prefer both same time. With my experience, x-ray may not show any abnormalities and antibiotics may not work in your uncle's case. If you have further questions, call me or post again.

Burning ears

Don't take meds, happens at random times doesn't matter if I am happy sad hot or cold. Ears turn bright red and burn burn burn. Not roseca, other than that I don't know.

This is a serious matter and bothers to the person concerned. The first remedy you can do is to blood let with rancid.  The location is the highest spot of the ear. This could be adjusted with acupuncture and herb. This is one of concepts that is not explained in western medicine.

Red Eyes

I'm in very good health, and take care of myself. I sleep 9 hours a day and workout 5 days a week. The problem is that my eyes always look red, or tired, even when I'm not. I do wear contacts, but keep them very clean. I smoke pot sometimes, but not often. I also drink sometimes. My heritage is Irish white skin, with blue eyes. Any thoughts on how to have my eyes look brighter, and less red would be appreciated.

Contact lenses are convenient and look nice. Nobody knows whether contact lenses are wear on unless we tell others. There could be side effects. I am not talking about cleaning lenses everyday or not.

This is my opinion. Heat in the body has a tendency to rise to head during day while we sit or stand. While heat rises up, it disperses through face and forehead and top of head and mouth and nose.  What about heat in the eye? It must disperse through pupil, iris, eyelids, canthus and sclera. While contact lenses are on, the heat on pupil and iris is trapped due to lenses. In the short term, nobody notices much difference whether contact lenses are on or not. But in the long run, it should affect someway. I believe eye vision might get worse faster with contact lenses than wearing glasses. I don't think any study was made to find this concern or discuss this matter.

This is my personal experience. I went to eye doctor due to poor vision. I had a difficulty to read newspaper in 1997. When I use a dictionary, I had to use a magnifier. I saw ads about laser surgery, which claimed no wearing glasses etc. I thought it was cool idea not to wear glasses. After examined, I was told no laser surgery was available for me as my eye muscle weakened and as I was getting older. The only choice was to wear glasses. Am I getting older? Even though it was a fact, however I was furious. I determined eye exercise which I had known, but I didn't practice for myself and I admit I was lazy. Since then I practice eye exercise about 20 minutes everyday while I read my Bible. I will be soon 62 years old, but I am proud myself that I don't wear glasses and I can read a dictionary without a magnifier during daylight. You can go to Qigong exercise center and learn the basic how to do it. It really works. I develop my own way in addition to basic. It works better.

Poster has some heat in the body organs. I couldn't tell which organs problem without seeing you. All contact lenses wearers do have red eyes. Please go to an acupuncturist and discuss. My opinion is removing heat is better than any eye drops or medicines.

Back Problems

I have back and neck injuries from my time in the Marines... I'm 24 and I feel like I'm 50 now, lol.  What's worse is I'm acting like I'm 80 which is great for staying out of trouble, but terrible for my relationship... I used to go to a Chiropractor but finances haven't left me with enough to do so as of late... but the adjustments helped out tremendously...

The locations are my lower and mid back areas and my lower neck... I've had other male issues since the injury, and for a while they seemed to be dissipating but when they come back they are worse than before...

I'M NOT GETTING SURGERY EVER!!!

I despise the notion of it because it's done nothing but worsen my fathers condition, and I'm looking for a natural way to do this... the less invasive the better, and I used to take a liquid mineral supplement called Mineral Toddy... but I can't find the stuff anywhere nowadays... I tasted terrible and most people mixed it with orange juice to make the taste less nauseating... and it kind of gave me a big boost of energy... but here I am 24, tired all the time, walking around slow, and just always kind of hum drum...

Any advice would be appreciated, but no fake Doctors... I'm not going to email you for an answer... home remedies from similar people with the same kind of issues would be appreciated... I'm sick of being so out of it.

Your lower and mid back area might be L2. If this is right, you have kidney issue which is related with male issue, too. Of course if female, female issue, too for female readers. Do you have gray hair? If not, there is a good chance to treat with acupuncture and herbs, as you are only 24. It might be easy to remove lower back pain with acupuncture, but function itself is different issue.

Lower neck pain might be related with urinary bladder. Kidney and urinary bladder is a pair. I don't know exact a location as I don't see you.

My personal clinic experience is dealing kidney issue takes longer time to fix. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, kidney function is inherited from parent to support other functions. After birth, other functions must support kidney to replenish. Gray hair is related with kidney.

Seaweeds and black sesame are good for kidney. There are lots of herbs to treat kidney function, but are not used for food. See nearby acupuncture clinic who also deal with herb formulas.

Aspartame: Is it really that bad?

Anyone experience side effects from artificial sweeteners? I'm diabetic and rely on the sugar-free types of treats.

This is what I heard at a seminar. MD said when we eat sweetener, brain nerve requests pancreas to be ready to release insulin. Pancreas finds out this is not sugar later and stop releasing insulin. When this process continues, pancreas doesn't respond at all as it believes another fake sweetener. Now when real sugar enters, pancreas is not ready now and finds out the real sugar. Pancreas releases five times (?) more insulin than normal. That is the way body works. Please do not try any artificial sweetener. It will be eventually more harmful than beneficial in the long run.

Anyone ever been prescribed an anti-anxiety drug for ssri withdrawal symptoms?

I've been told I seem more frustrated and stressed-out since going off my antidepressant. Well, I have been feeling that way and I also feel my symptoms are a little worse than before I was ever put on an ssri.

My shrink wants to prescribe Klonipin .5mg for these symptoms but not sure if she wants me to take them on a long-term basis. i think she said I can it on an as-needed basis.

But, this med is highly addictive, isn't it?

I've heard good things about Kava Kava and Valerian root and am contemplating about using one of these to help with ssri withdrawal symptoms, instead of Klonipin.

Any medicines must be short term use. This is a principle. If taken for a long term, the purpose of medicines is temporally effective. If you stop to take it, all present symptoms will come back. Better ways are to find the exact cause. Your case is depression. Where does depression come from? Without diagnoses, I guess that it might be from stress. Where does stress come from? It comes from emotion. This emotion comes from anger, joy, thinking too much, worry or fear. All these emotions are related with body organs, which are liver, heart, pancreas, lungs and kidney. We try to find which organs are involved for your depression. We try to find the related organ and strengthen the organ. As soon as organ function begins to improve, you are going to take less amount of medicine and able to stop to take medicines in the future. I believe this is a right approach. All these can be done by acupuncture and herb formula. These methods are all natural and no artificial chemicals.

acid reflux

my acid reflux is pretty bad, as soon as i lay down it starts burning like fire, stops as soon as i sit up , im tired of sleeping sitting up in the chair, im taking protonix but it doesn't seem to be helping much, anyone know of anything that works better?
Thanks

The question about lying down making worse is due to dysfunction of esophageal orifice of the stomach. This may be one of reasons. This orifice is supposed to close while digesting. Even though like your case, it might be slightly open while digesting. While you are sitting up, the slight leakage form the pressure of digesting is difficult to reach to the mouth due to the gravity, therefore reflux cannot reach to the mouth. While you lie down, there is no gravity, making acid to reach to the mouth.

Original cause is stomach dysfunction. There are good points in the body to cure this problem. All acupuncturists know. They are going to find the cause of excess acid in the stomach. They also have some herbs to treat this. I as a Korean treat this with cuttlebone (white round bone=good for stopping of bleeding etc) + sea salts prepared with bamboo.

Almost feels like it speeds up for a couple beats or skips a beat, nothing particularly interesting or exciting is going on at the time either. This has been going on for years by the way I am wondering if it's anything bad.

Also sometimes when I am about to take a deep breath it feels like my rib caught onto my lung or something so I have to exhale, and inhale very slowly to get it "unstuck". I really don't know what is going on there or if it is a rib or what but it hurts like hell. Or I have to lift my arms up and inhale slowly.

Your heart has irregular pulse as valves such as tricuspid valve or mitral valve are not functioning properly making murmur. There could be other issues, too.

According to statements, you might have dysfunction of lung and kidney. Difficulty of inhale comes from kidney function and exhale from lung. There are good herbs which can be treated for your symptoms. When you get acupuncture treatment with herbs, you would get better and faster results. Try to find local acupuncture clinic.

they gave me about 2 litres of an IV and sent me on my way. i can keep anything in my stomach. I just keep passing water. is there anything I can do to stop the runs? i've tried maalox and eating bread, bananas, and peanut butter. Nothing has worked.

It might be from virus. Imodium could make to stop, but virus might remain. My suggestion is to take charcoal capsule. Charcoal will absorb all bacteria or virus, but stopping diarrhea might take a little longer time than Imodium.

I can TELL something's wrong with me, but I don't have a clue what it is. Normally I would go see a doctor, but my insurance is messed up right now, and I can't afford to pay out of pocket... So it might be a few weeks until I'm able to.

Meanwhile, wondering if this odd combination rings any bells?
- Sudden weight gain
- Sharp, piercing abdominal pain
- Hot flashes
- Fatigue
- Erratic sleep pattern
- Thirsty
- Acne outbreaks

I feel like it could be something hormonal, but I don't think it's menopause because I had my hormone levels checked quite recently, and my doc said I wasn't even close yet.
I'm 42 and in very good overall health, active and fit. I haven't changed my eating pattern or work-out. In fact, the only major change recently has been a stressful family situation, which has me feeling very low. But I've suffered from depression in the past, and these symptoms are different. In fact, they are similar to when I was experiencing heavy side-effects from medication, in that they are sudden and severe. Except that I'm not on any medication!

Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Premenopausal symptom + stomach heat

Abdominal pain, gaining weight, thirsty and acne are from heat from stomach. This could be a very early symptom of diabetes. Everyone knows three symptoms, drinking more water, frequent urination and eating more. You mention only thirsty and weight gain. But you mention no change of eating pattern. We need more diagnose to solve this contradictory. When stomach heat is reduced, all above symptoms will be solved automatically. This is simple to do with acupuncture treatment for early symptom of diabetes like yours. If not taken care of it early enough, it becomes difficult to treat and take a longer time. Hot flash and erratic sleep pattern could take longer treatment than the above as kidney and heart functional decreases cause these symptoms. Kidney function represents water and heart fire. Kidney belongs to winter and heart summer. Hot flash means more hot than water. That is the imbalance between yin(cold) and yang(warm) according to acupuncture theory in this case. It might be strange theory for you, but understandable to everyone, as everyone talks about hormone in stead. But we believe kidney function includes hormone etc. We generally look at whole picture for our body.

hi everyone, sorry for the confusing maybe long post, but i really have a question, and i question this because it seems so weird and against medical science etc... and i was wondering if anyone can offer me their opinion.
For the last 2 years, i have been severely underweight, i'm about 90lbs and i'm 5 ft 6 due to a chronic digestive disease problem that I'm currently battling. I've been eating as much as i can for the last 2 years and NOT excersizing and pretty much have stayed at this weight.
However, recently, because i have gotten more ill, i have been eating WAY LESS, if not that much at all anymore, PLUS I have been walking more, about 40 mins extra a day (for other health issues) and I have been moving a lot more and I actually have been gainning weight. I'm 95 now and this all started about 3 weeks ago when i started to walk and gotten more sick and eat very less. Gaining weight is awesome for me, but I Just don't get how? can anyone offer me suggestions as to why this may be happening? i'm eating less, walking more and gaining weight?

anyhow, just baffles me so please if anyone can shed some light, i would appreciate it.
and no, no thyroid problems or anything like that..
thank you!

Your case is not common in western medical field, but is common in acupuncture field. Your chronicle digestion problem might be from spleen deficiency which is less appetite or no appetite, loose stool (originally, sometimes change to constipation) and cold limbs. Sense of taste is flat or sticky. Lips may be pale and dry. When this condition lasts without good treatments, lung function will be weakened, causing short of breath, easy to catch cold, phlegm in the throat and possible pneumonia.

This concept of spleen is difficult for most readers to understand. Stomach is to receive food and bring downward. Spleen's role is to separate the usable from unusable part of food and direct Food-Qi upwards to the lungs to combine with air to form gathering Qi and to heart to form blood. This upward function is not discussed and known in the western medical field. If you have a tendency to think much, your spleen function would be damaged more.

You don't have enough energy to exercise at this moment. You try exercise and hope you recover your symptom. In the long run, it is good to exercise, however in the short run it could damage your system without enough energy. Spleen function is easily damaged by dampness. You are allowed only moderate exercise, not making you tired. Someone who lives in damp basement usually suffer with this symptom, of course inheritance is also one of main causes. The reason you gain might be that this dampness begins to accumulate in your body.

I had a patient who was 65 years old, 70 lbs, 5' 6''. His condition was a lot worse than yours. He was hospitalized 4 times a year. All hospital could do was to give oxygen to him. After 2 and half months treatment with me, he gained to 90 lbs and started to work as a part time. He wanted a full time, but only pare time was available at time. He looked 10 years younger after the treatment. Please seek the alternate solution.

i thank you for taking the time out to write that, but I don't truly understand-in your opinion= on what could be gaining weight? spleen? body temperature? i do have energy and i've been walking a lot and eating less, actually getting sick a lot as well, meaning not being able to hold food down. so all these things into account, i should be completely losing but its doing the opposite. would you mind breaking down what you said and i guess make it more simple? call me stupid, but i thank you and hope you read this and reply!

One of main function of spleen is transformation and transportation. Our ancestor, more than 2000 years ago called spleen, so we still use this word. Spleen function is very similar with pancreas nowadays. Pancreas produce insulin and glucagon helping digestion and transforming food to be absorbed for nutrition as you understand. Food must be transformed to be used in the body making food Qi(nutrition nowadays). I hope what transformation means. Our ancestor didn't know this internal secretion, so they called body fluids. What they did was to find which body points could be used to stimulate or suppress this secretion. We still use these points to make better function. It works very well. Many might experience that eye lids trembling. That might be also spleen deficiency.

When spleen function decreases, stomach would be affected. Spleen and stomach are pairs. Everyone knows that weak stomach function brings decrease in food intake, retention of food, gastric distention, nausea and vomiting, which are the same with western view.

I just notice you might live in NYC. I also live in Queens. If you visit me, I would give you free examination and diagnoses and recommendation.

Antidepression

Anxiolytic med for ssri withdrawal symptoms

Costipation

Ugh. Embarrassing question. Immediate

solution to severe constipation?

I have chronic severe constipation. I'm working with a GI dr. on this, but right now I'm in serious pain.

I usually go to the bathroom 2x a month. Yes, I realize it's severe.

However, with the straining to get it out today something else popped out I think. It went back in when I stood back up though.

I know all the advice to drink water, more fiber, etc, but none of that works. I'm on prescription laxatives and they do nothing. Anything I can do to soften the stool right now?

If i take stool softeners etc. that will only work at the beginning of the colon, not what is stuck in there now.

HELP?! I see my dr again tomorrow, but I'm scared my freaking colon is going to fall out.

No pain, just weird bulges.

Constipation is kind of accumulation. We have to clarify cold or heat or fluids (including water) type. When you use laxative, it won't damage intestine, but enema will. If cold type, remove constipation by warming method. If heat type, by cooling. All formulas contain harsh ingredients and are used carefully like enema.

Peristaltic contraction of large intestine must be increased by cooling or warming. This is a best and only way without damaging your interior systems. You cannot depend on laxatives forever. I notice more women have constipation than man in my clinic. Some suffer with dry skin or red spots on face and headache due to constipation. Try acupuncture treatment. I believe this is a best way to remove your problems. Most cases need 4-6 sessions. Sometimes patient feels moving in abdominal area on the table while treatment and goes to bathroom immediately after treatment..
