My feet are so cold all the time. I've been told I have Reynaud's Syndrome. I've been wearing wool socks all winter long. I haven't worn anything like "dress shoes" since Thanksgiving.
The only shoes I'm finding that are warm enough to keep my feet from going numb, don't have enough arch support, even with orthotics.
So now I have cold feet with sore arches. What the hell do I do????
Reynaud's syndrome only is not enough information to determine the cause. In order to make warm and hot, nature requires more oxygen. Without oxygen fire can't be made. Coal can't make itself burn. Coal needs some kind of ignition of fire and continuous of supply of oxygen. When we extinguish burning charcoal, we just cover the container holding charcoal or pour water.
Any food we take would relate with cause. If you take cold food like cold soda, it could make worse your conditions. I suggest eating and drinking more warm food like hot soup. We call this yin (cold) and yang (warm) balance. If cold, treat with warm. I also suggest warm or hot food. I also live in NYC and give you more details. Ginger itself is acrid and hot nature. Raw ginger is too hot to eat a lot. Go to Korean supermarket in
The above foods might be coal itself. Now you need more oxygen. How? It is from lung. You do need more exercise to get more oxygen. Deep breathing is very good one. The method of deep breathing is to breathe in with nose and breathe out from mouth. If you have a short of breath or easily catching cold or allergy, you need treatments. You don't mention any digestion issue. I suspect there could be some issues to be discussed.
The last thing is how to convey warmth to cold feet. Blood, especially red blood cells convey nutrition and warmth. If there is lack of blood, it will be difficult to reach extremities. Hands and feet become cold. Women also have a tendency of lack of blood because of menstruation. If you belong to this case, you need improvements in digestive system to make more blood, Even though blood is made in bones, ultimately everything come from food we eat.
